Are you in the game? (Week 4)
Continual posting and connecting with followers and customers on social media can be utterly time consuming and difficult to keep up with, trust me, I personally have tried. Welcome to the world of the technology though, where people (who like me are probably more lazy than you’d like to admit), have come up with a way to strike a balance. In our world there are so many different social media platforms, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram..I am sure you get the point. Let me tell you a little about a social media management platform…Hootsuite. This is a place where you can manage your platforms in one place. Its no secret that social media is important to building your company brand. Imagine a place where you can post updates, read responses, schedule messages, and view statistics all in one place, and that's not all you can do. Hootsuite provides a time saving approach to this social media marketing world. Thank goodness someone came up with this before I lost my mind switching between virtual lives.
In my Social Media class, I feel like I am being pushed…in a good way, to think outside the box more. I have always wanted to start a blog, and now I am being graded upon doing such. I hope to actually continue with this after my semester is over. We are only a few weeks into my class, so there is much more I look forward to learning too. Social media can be very frustrating, even though technically I have known most platforms since they began, this doesn’t mean its easy to keep up with. Sometimes living a virtual life is harder than the real world. The mind boggling times to post to get the most views or "likes"....I get so exhausted just thinking about it. Luckily in college we have the choice of taking classes that can help you understand these more, and that is just what I did!
